As the strictures of ‘lockdown I’ were relaxed in June 2020, we moved from an unfamiliar situation of restricted movement and opportunities, to a perplexing ‘new reality’ that had lost many of its previous comforting certainties. Over the summer I exploited my re-gained freedom by making frequent trips to the coast - visiting different locations several times - to create a series of images using long exposures as a means of escape and reflection.
