In May 2018 I attended a Masterclass in Sicily with award winning photographer Mimi Mollica, during which we visited Sud Marmi s.r.l., a company based in Custonaci that quarries and manufactures Italian marble.
This is my attempt to create a photo story in five images of our visit to the quarry and factory.
Our visit was guided by the company's founder, Prof. Mario Pellegrino, to whom our thanks are due for his insights into the the history and methods of production, as well as the access we were afforded during our visit.
